Abstract:The tulip bulb aphid, Dysaphis tulipae (Boyer de Fonscolombe) is widely distributed worldwide. In March 2021, this aphid was found on Iris chamaeiris Bertol and Iris pallida Lam. in Beijing, China. The species identity was confirmed by morphological characteristics and molecular barcoding information. In this study, we describe the morphological characteristics of apterous and alate viviparous females and their field diagnosis characteristics and list the distribution provided with color ecological photos. The aphid is a pest of the plant genera Iris, Tulipa, and Lilium, with the potential to spread in China. Attention should be paid to D. tulipae in the management of horticultural pests.
