[Aim] This study investigated the transmission and accumulation of the tetracycline in Eupatorium adenophorum.[Method] Absorption and accumulation of the tetracycline were detected in the stems, leaves and roots of hydroponics seedlings of E. adenophorum by using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).[Result] The results revealed that tetracycline increasingly accumulated in the roots, stems and leaves of the E. adenophorum with increased treatment concentrations ranging between 10~20 mg·L-1 tetracycline and over time. Tetracycline showed highest accumulation amount in the stems[(59.34±3.86) mg·kg-1] and lowest[(23.19±4.17) mg·kg-1] in zeeran leaves. FW in the roots of E. adenophorum treated at a concentration of 20 mg·L-1 tetracycline hydroponic solution for 20 days had (52.52±5.89) mg·kg-1. The highest accumulation index of the tetracycline was in the stems of E. adenophorum, followed by the root and leaves.[Conclusion] In short, E. adenophorum can absorb and accumulate tetracycline from hydroponic solution while having the potential of absorbing and purifying the pollution of tetracycline.
