Abstract:【Background】Scolytids are important borer pests often intercepted in the ports dealing with international trade. 【Method】Intercepted data of scolytids in Xiamen port from 2010 to 2014 were analyzed, and the taxonomic key to intercepted scolytids and the potential quarantine measures for scolytids were provided. 【Result】The results indicated that Hylurgus ligniperda, Xyleborus ferrugineus, Ips sexdentatus, Ips granddicollis, Ips typographus and Ips acuminatus were the major pests. The countries of origin were Australia, New Zealand and Brazil. The hosts of these pests are Pinups radiata, Pinus sylvestris, Pinus elliottii, and Pinus pinaster. 【Conclusion and significance】This paper can improve followup survey in processing factories and monitoring scolytids in ports.
